- To understand the process of mathematical modelling in various fields.
- To understand the numerical errors and the need of various numerical methods.
- To understand and apply various numerical methods to find solutions of mathematical models.
- To learn how to use numerical computing S/W, such as Matlab, GNU Octave, NumPy, etc.
